Dance: Integrated Dance Workshops at Rua Red

15 - 21 Jul 2017 (Past)

RUA RED, South Dublin Arts Centre

Laura Sarah Dowdall is dance artist in residence in Rua Red this year and as part of her programme she is facilitating open workshops exploring the relationship between haptic communication and dance and how we can expand the performance of dance beyond its visual form.

The workshop is open to anyone interested in the topic, who are open to exploring through movement tasks – it will be an integrated group with people of all levels of vision from fully sighted to blind – everyone is welcome and everyone’s individual feedback and experience will be very valuable.

The venue is: RUA RED, Tallaght, next to the Square / last Luas stop on the red line
Dates: 10:30- 1pm July 15th, 18th, 21st

Limited to a small group so please contact Laura to express your interest with the date(s) you would like to participate.
To register email laura@runningblind.ie

Each workshop will follow a different emphasis and you are invited to attend all three if you can join us!

You do not need to have dance experience just an interest in the topic or maybe haptic touch / communication is of interest to you, in your work or art form.

Keep in touch with updates on the Running Blind Facebook page!
