Music in the Tuileries Gardens by Edouard Manet

Impressionist paintings in the Hugh Lane Gallery’s collection

  • Audio Description

Venue: Online

Date: Wednesday 24 March
Time: 12pm

At the time of this event, The Hugh Lane Gallery was in the process of piloting the use of audio descriptions of artworks from the permeant collection in response to covid and as a new access offering for audiences with disabilities.

Led by Fala Buggy, Hugh Lane Gallery  used a combination of audio description, high contrast images and sound to explore the theme of impressionist paintings which feature in the Hugh Lane Gallery’s collection.

Hosted on zoom, the altered images were also made available in advance here and were sent a day in advance to anyone registered.
