Fighting Blindness is excited to announce the launch of Insight Yoga, a new series of yoga classes specifically tailored for individuals who are blind or who have a visual impairment.

Classes will take place every Tuesday at 1pm, starting on the 27 of August, at Firkin Crane located at John Redmond Street, Cork. These free classes will run weekly for 12 weeks until the end of November. These classes are designed to enhance physical and mental well-being through the practice of yoga, fostering a supportive and inclusive community.

Spaces are limited to ensure personalised attention and a high-quality participant experience, so early registration to secure your place is encouraged. Interested individuals can register or obtain more information by contacting Fighting Blindness by calling 01 674 6496 or by emailing insight@fightingblindness.ie.

“We are thrilled to offer Insight Yoga to the visually impaired community. Yoga is a wonderful way to improve physical health, reduce stress, and build a sense of community. We are grateful to our partners for helping make this program possible,” said Marta O’Connor, Head of Support Services at Fighting Blindness.

This initiative is delivered by Fighting Blindness in collaboration with CCP SICAP, Cork City LCDC, the Government of Ireland, and the European Union.
