Exhibition: Winter Light

20 Nov 2021 - 30 Jan 2022 (Past)

The Ark, 11A Eustace St, Temple Bar, Dublin, D02 A590

Winter is here, and with it comes wintery magic – can you feel it? Join The Ark for the free Winter Light Exhibition.

Winter Light seeks out the joy, hope and beauty that can be found all around us in wintertime, if only we take a moment to look.

The artists were inspired by the theme of ‘winter’, from nature, animals and their habitats, to the light in the winter sky and the solstice. The result is a collection of stunning new artworks in a range of different media, from paintings and sculptures, to animation and interactive pieces, all designed to connect with children and introduce you to some of the unexpected joys of winter.

Find out more here.

Audio Description is available for visitors of the exhibition. The Ark and Arts and Disability Ireland have worked together to make these Discovery Pens available.

A Discovery Pen is a handheld device, which allows audiences who are blind or visually impaired explore the exhibition through descriptions and curatorial statements.

To access the audio, the blunt point of the pen is pressed against data badges throughout the exhibition.

If you would like to use the Discovery Pens just let Box Office know when you arrive at The Ark!

The Winter Light exhibition is open on weekends; Saturdays at 10am – 4:30pm and Sundays at 12pm – 4:30.

No tickets needed, just come along and enjoy this free exhibition.
