1 - 31 Jul 2025

The National Gallery of Ireland, Merrion Square, Dublin 2

There are several accessible events coming up at the National Gallery in July 2025.

Quiet Workshops
7 July, 11.30 to 12.30pm
14 July, 11.30 to 12.30pm
21 July, 11.30 to 12.30pm
28 July, 11.30 to 12.30pm
Location: The Shaw Room

Join the Gallery for free, welcoming workshops designed to support all children. While no diagnosis is required, this workshop is designed with children who are neurodivergent in mind, but is open to everyone.

These sessions are a calm alternative to our regular busy drop-in workshops and offer a relaxed space where children can participate in ways that feel right for them. Led by experienced and friendly facilitators, each session focuses on creativity and exploration. The workshops are inspired by artworks from the Gallery’s collection, with this series themed around the works relating to the Mediterranean and will be led by the artist Mandalena Miltiadi.

All forms of communication are welcome, facilitators are trained in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and participants are welcome to use their own AAC systems.

  • Advance booking is required – Please only book one ticket per family. Parents, guardians, or carers do not need to reserve a space.
  • Places are limited and fill up quickly. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know so we can offer your place to another family.
  • Ticket-holders will receive an email in advance with details on what to expect during the session. · For questions or further information, contact Caomhán at cmacconiomaire@ngi.ie.
