There are several fantastic accessible events coming up at the National Gallery in January 2024.

Thursday 4 January 5.30pm-6.30pm Public Tour: Tour of Turner & Coastal Scenes for people who have a hearing impairment or are Hard of Hearing

Location: Courtyard, National Gallery of Ireland

This free tour, exploring some highlights of the Gallery’s permanent collection and the Turner & Coastal Scenes exhibition, is for individuals who are hard of hearing or have hearing impairments.

Meet your tour guide in our Courtyard, near the Merrion Square information desk.

This tour is fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities.

This tour takes place at 5.30pm on the first Thursday of every month.

6.00pm-7.00pm Public Tour: Irish Sign Language Tour

Location: Courtyard, National Gallery of Ireland

Join the Gallery’s Irish Sign Language tour guides for a look at highlights from the Gallery’s national collection. As the Gallery endeavours to make activities and events accessible to the people who are hard of hearing , they wish to welcome members of the ISL community to the Gallery. This tour is exclusively in Irish Sign Language and will not have any translation available

From February onwards, this tour takes place at 6.00pm on the second Thursday of every month.

Saturday 13 January 3.30pm-4.30pm Public Tour: Irish Sign Language Tour of Turner & Coastal Scenes

Join the Gallery’s Irish Sign Language tour guides for a look at highlights from the Turner & Coastal Scenes exhibition. Visitors will be guided through key parts of the Gallery building and focus on several highlights on display incorporating audio description and discussion. Devised specifically to enrich the experience of visually impaired visitors to the Gallery.
