There are several accessible events coming up at the National Gallery in February 2025.

Slow Art Tour of AIB Portrait Prize
Sunday 2 February 2.30pm to 3.30pm
Location: Courtyard, National Gallery of Ireland

Enjoy some time out and join the gallery for a guided tour at a slower pace. Looking closely and moving quietly and mindfully through the gallery spaces and the exhibitions AIB Portrait Prize and AIB Young Portrait Prize, you will encounter each work with curiosity, allowing us to connect deeply with it. The tour will end with quiet reflection in silence and stillness.

This tour is fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities. A Mindfulness or Slow Art tour takes place at 2.30pm on the first Sunday of every month.

Tour of AIB Portrait Prize for people who have a hearing impairment or are Hard of Hearing
Thursday 6 February 5.30pm to 6.30pm
Location: Courtyard, National Gallery of Ireland

This free tour, for individuals who are hard of hearing or have hearing impairments, explores the AIB Portrait Prize and AIB Young Portrait Prize exhibitions.

This tour is fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities, and takes place at 5.30pm on the first Thursday of every month.


ISL Tour of AIB Portrait Prize
Thursday 13 February January 6pm to 7pm
Location: Courtyard, National Gallery of Ireland

Join the Gallery’s Irish Sign Language tour guides for a look at the AIB Portrait Prize. As the Gallery endeavours to make activities and events accessible to the deaf community, they wish to welcome members of the ISL community to the Gallery. This tour is exclusively in Irish Sign Language and will not have any translation available. An ISL tour of the permanent collection or other temporary exhibitions place at 6pm on the second Thursday of the month.

Please note all public tours are fully accessible to people who are hard of hearing and use a tour guide system with T-loop capabilities.
