A totalitarian regime. A missing child. A killer on the loose.

A writer is arrested when a series of murders, bearing a chilling resemblance to his own stories, come to light.  As two detectives chase a confession, they discover a truth much stranger than fiction.

From Martin McDonagh, the award-winning writer of The Beauty Queen of Leenane, The Banshees of Inisherin and In Bruges comes a savage tale about the stories we tell to keep the monsters at bay.

Directed by Olivier Award winner Lyndsey Turner, The Pillowman will open at the Gate Theatre on 9 July, and runs until 7 September. The production will star Fra Fee, recently seen in the BAFTA-nominated series Lost Boys and Fairies, as Katurian.
