Project Arts Centre, 39 Essex Street East, Temple Bar, Dublin
”I’m Fionn Mac Cumhaill, I’m Michael Collins, I’m Theobald Wolfe Tone… That’s it!… I’m Wolfe Tone! The Black Wolfe Tone. I’m the Black Wolfe Tone!”
Fishamble: The New Play Company and Irish Repertory Theatre present The Black Wolfe Tone. The Black Wolfe Tone is a thrilling new play about identity, raging against the machine, and how young men deal or don’t deal, with the darkness. A fast-paced journey that interrogates our culture of silence, the mind, and growing up mixed race in Ireland. At its heart, it’s about a young boy seeking forgiveness. The inner child wanting only to be acknowledged, loved, and held.
There will be an ISL interpreted performance of the Black Wolfe Tone on 10 June at 7.45pm at Project Arts Centre. For more information and to book, visit fishamble.com/tbwt
