A photo shot from above looking down on a mosh pit showing the tops of peoples heads and arms reaching in different directions. Everyone is dressed in black. One persons face is visible. They have long hair and their eyes closed. They have an excited expression on their face.

Theatre: MOSH at Project Arts Centre, Audio Described Performance and Touch Tour

17 Sep 2023, 6:15 pm (Past)

Project Arts Centre, Temple Bar, Dublin 2

Presented by Dublin Fringe Festival

This is the thrill of fighting, without the fear. This is a dance, a gig, a theatrical shove into the heart of the pit. This is a community connected through music and risk.

With live music, real interviews, humour, heart and a whole lot of headbanging, five performers dive into the deeper meaning behind a misunderstood subculture. Is this violence or dancing? What are the rules? What do bacteria and moshers have in common? And why would anyone do it?

Funded by the Arts Council / An Chomhairle Ealaíon and Waterford City & County Council, with support from ArtLinks, field:arts, Firkin Crane, and Garter Lane Arts Centre. Originally developed at the 8th PanPan International Mentorship and VISUAL Carlow.

Accessible Performance

17th September – 6:15pm Audio Described Performance, 5:15pm Touch Tour led by Mo Harte
