The Ark welcomes Bombinate Theatre with this engaging and heartwarming show for ages 8+ this midterm.
‘Imagine this: you’re walking up a mountain, through a forest of pine trees, and you’re trying to find your Dad. He’s been taken by a monster.’ Meet Robin, a ten-year-old boy travelling through the magical woodland of his father’s storybook. A tale which is as true as it is untrue.

Touch Tour
There will be a touch tour for audience members who are blind or visually impaired on Fri 2 Nov @ 1.15pm. The tour is free if you purchase tickets for the 2pm show.
During a touch tour, audiences with visual impairments can experience and contextualise the stage. Audiences will explore the space, and may like to handle selected props, costumes, musical instruments and furniture.
About the Show:
Half Light premiered at The New Theatre as part of Dublin Fringe Festival 2016. The show was developed with support from Dublin Fringe Festival, Fringe Lab and Trinity College Dublin Drama Department. Half Light won the First Fortnight Award and was nominated for Best Ensemble. at the Dublin Fringe Awards 2016. The play was subsequently remounted as part of First Fortnight Festival 2017. Mollie Molumby is supported by the The Artist’s Office at Fringe Lab initiative (2018 – 2019).
About The Ark:
The Ark is place where children can discover and love the arts, exploring theatre, music, literature, art, film, dance and more. Over the past 23 years The Ark, located in the heart of Dublin City has commissioned, presented and developed work especially for children aged 2-12. Although created for this age group the productions and events are also adored by adults of all ages! The Ark team continues to play a key role in encouraging artists and other companies to explore the area of creating work for children and sharing their expertise through running continuing professional development sessions for artists and Primary school teachers.
