Theatre and Music: Take Off Through the Arts at Lexicon, Dun Laoghaire
4 May 2018 (Past)
Take Off Through the Arts initiative, a collective of arts practitioners working with people with an intellectual disability in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown will perform and present on their individual projects.
The collective aims to create new opportunities in theatre and music for those with an intellectual disability. The goal is to create, discover, and share experiences with the local community.
Three arts organisations, funded by the Arts Office of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, have come together to further these ambitions:
Loaded Dice, a community-based theatre group
Blue Diamond Drama Academy, an arts training college and Theatre Company
All in Arts, a creative music and arts programme
There will be short performances and presentations by the 3 projects, followed by refreshments and the opportunity to meet the practitioners and performers to learn about their work.
Friday, May 4th: 2pm – 4pm
The Lexicon Theatre, Haigh Terrace, Moran Park, Dún Laoghaire, Co. Dublin.
This event will be an opportunity for service providers, arts practitioners, parents and arts workers to network and potentially create new arts opportunities for people with Intellectual Disabilities in the region.
