Book a help desk with Brian Kielt (Advocacy & Advice NI).  Artists can book in for a one to one appointment to discuss any aspects of their professional careers. Help desks can be on any topic related to your practice or about general advice on supports available to you at this time.

Mentoring Clinic with Melissa O’Donnell from Big Look Art
17 and 18 January, 2pm to 5pm

Hosted on VAI’s online partner platform Big Look Art, there are a handful of remaining slots available. This format entitles you to 90 minutes of focused time on your artistic practice with Melissa. To provide the most value possible, this engagement is delivered in 3 parts, pre-session preparation and research, a scheduled 30-minute online consultation and written follow up feedback.

Writing Creative Proposals with Marianne O’Kane Boal

Preparing proposals can be a challenging and time consuming exercise for artists. This webinar not only gives you practical advice on the do’s and don’ts of preparing and submitting creative proposals but also on assessing how different opportunities might be right for you. The 1 hour webinar will look at evaluation panels, accepting feedback and using appropriate language. The aim of this webinar is to submit better proposals, help you meet deadlines and make better decisions.

Tax Advice for Artists in Northern Ireland with Louise Gorman
21 February, 3pm to 5pm

Louise Gorman from Balanced Business Solutions will present a webinar with tips and advice on tax for artists. Topics will range from advice on the self assessment forms, record keeping tips, deductible expenses and more! There will be a chance to ask questions at the end of the webinar presentation.
