You are invited to an afternoon at The Sanctuary in Dublin to celebrate and launch artist and writer Corina Duyn’s Book-in-a-Box, ‘Into the Light’
Introduction by Sr. Stan and artist talk with Corina Duyn
‘Into the Light’ is an Artist Book-in-a-wooden-box. Each loose sheet has a short reflection on life with chronic illness/disability, although its wisdoms are also applicable to many of life’s challenges.
Fear, hope, acceptance, society’s attitudes, the power of creativity and moments of gratitude are all explored. Supported by quotes from a great variety of authors, each sheet is illustrated with Corina’s stunning nature photographs and her imaginative art.
“During summer 2015 when I was still working on ‘Into the Light’ I had the fortune to (finally) visit The Sanctuary in Dublin, where I was welcomed by staff, and by the founder of the Sanctuary, Sr. Stan.”
“The Sanctuary is a place of absolute beauty and a quiet oasis in the middle of Dublin city. A place that spoke to my heart. It is with deep gratitude to have the support of the team, and Sr. Stan to launch my book in such a fitting place.”
“I hope you can join us… for a celebration of the book, the art, the story, the journey, nature, stillness, and of life itself.”
