A film still of a person taking a photograph. The person has long blue black hair and pulls their eyelid downward, their hand with rings and red nail polish. Their face is obscured by the phone, blurred and out of focus recording their face.

Film: New Irish Shorts Access Screening at GAZE Film Festival

4 Aug 2024, 1:45 pm (Past)

Light House Cinema, Market Street Square, Dublin 7

Irish shorts are the beating heart of GAZE, and as always they have been spread throughout their programme in various shorts blocks and pre-feature slots at the Light House Cinema.

The six films screened as part of New Irish Shorts represent the breadth of Ireland’s film-making talent, concerning lesbian desire, parenthood, drag, HIV, and Gaeilge as a secret sapphic love-language. GAZE are honoured to welcome some of the makers with us for a post-show conversation, as well as a second screening of Irish Shorts with access elements.

This event will feature ISL interpretation by Lianne Quigley, captioning, and will be in a relaxed environment.

The line up of short films include;
