Exhibition: Alice and Me by Ciara Chapman

15 Feb - 1 Mar 2022 (Past)

St. Peter's Cork

Alice fell and I fell too.
‘Curiouser and curiouser’,
She wondered as she wandered.
‘We’re all mad here.’

Alice and Me is a project that looks at the connection between Ciara Chapman’s project ‘My Chronic Pain Diary’ and the story of Alice and Wonderland. Our journeys ‘through the rabbit hole’, the characters we meet and the knowledge we gain about ourselves are all here to see.

Exhibition dates: Tuesday 15 February to Tuesday 1 March

Venue: St. Peter’s Cork

Opening Times: Monday to Saturday 10 – 4:30pm

This exhibition is a precursor to a very ambitious project Ciara is doing in September 2022 with Cork Opera House.

“September is Pain Awareness Month which, for me, is an important month to mark each year. If we all learn more about chronic pain, we actively fight the stigma it creates for sufferers. Alice and I both fell ‘down the rabbit hole’, the difference being, Alice is able to leave.”
