Discussion: Expressing Neurodivergence Through the Arts

The team behind ‘Grace’ by Jody O’Neill will be facilitating two post show discussions after the 1pm performances on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 September as part of Dublin Theatre Festival at Pavilion Theatre.
These optional short panel discussions entitled ‘Expressing Neurodivergence through the Arts’ will be a facilitated discussion about neurodivergence and the arts with some of the creative team of Grace, joined by guest artists, with opportunities for the audience to ask questions and join the conversation.
Each discussion will be about 30 minutes long, tickets available at pavilliontheatre.ie
Facilitators and panellists include;
- Pádraig Naughton, Executive Director of Arts & Disability Ireland since 2005 – Arts & Disability Ireland
- Jody O’Neill, an autistic writer for theatre and screen. She is also a performer and disability advocate.
- Dee Roycroft, an autistic writer and performer, she is an Abbey Theatre Next Wave Playwright and her play Amelia is running at Project Arts Centre as part of Dublin Theatre Festival.
- Fiacre Ryan, a non-speaking autistic writer, poet and advocate.
- Eleanor Walsh, an actor and performer, and autism and disability advocate.
- Adam Harris, Founder and CEO of AsIAm, Ireland’s National Autism Charity – Asiam.ie
- AlanJames Burns, a neurodivergent and environmental artist, curator and festival maker. Their practice is marked by socially engaged, and site-specific projects.
Grace is presented by Graffiti Theatre Company & Once Off Productions in association with Pavilion Theatre & Cork Opera House. Supported by The Arts Council, Baboró International Arts Festival for Children, and the Abbey Theatre.
