Yn Y Golau In Visible Light Limerick Dance Festival



Dance Limerick Performance space is presenting a space for disscussion about accessibility from a visually impared performers view, followed with the screening of Yn Y Golau film project.

This discussion forum will explore the potential and challenges of screen-based work that embeds access for blind and visually impaired people at each stage of production and exhibition. Joanna Wright and Kate Lawrence, in dialogue with collaborators Karina Jones and Alex Ashcroft, will share learning from their project, Yn y Golau.

Karina will discuss the experience of access from her perspective as a visually impaired performer, audience member and access consultant. Sound Designer Alex Ashcroft will present approaches to spatial audio production and the ways immersive audio design can enhance audience understanding and experience of space and movement.
