Dance: Croí Glan’s The Rhythm of Fierce on Banna Strand, Tralee

23 Jul 2016 (Past)

Banna Strand, Tralee

Croí Glan’s The Rhythm of Fierce is to feature as part of Fearghus Ó Conchúir’s The Casement Project

The Casement Project is a choreography of bodies and ideas that takes place across multiple platforms and national boundaries. It dances with the queer body of British knight, Irish rebel and international humanitarian, Roger Casement to ask: Who gets to be in the national body? How could the national body move?

Féile Fáilte is an opportunity for all kinds of people to see and join in a day-long celebration of the dancing body. This free festival takes place on Banna Strand, re-imagining the Ireland that greeted Casement’s coming ashore there in 1916 as a welcoming body of dynamic inclusivity.

Running from mid-afternoon to midnight, Féile Fáilte features dance performances, an evening céilí, a night-time beach disco and a midnight spectacle of light.

All are welcome to come, watch, dance, enjoy and remember.

Free and unticketed, just come along!
