Circus: Sensory Flights at Cruinniú na nÓg
18 May - 15 Jun 2024 (Past)
Sensory Flights is an inclusive aerial arts program designed for youth of the deaf community and hard of hearing community, to the heart of Dublin.
Hosted by Aerial Cirque and funded by Creative Ireland for Cruinniú na nÓg, this free five-week course offers a transformative experience blending creativity, physical activity, and personal growth.
Cruinniú na nÓg is a day of free creativity for young people, ages 8 to 17. It is an initiative of the Creative Ireland Programme’s Creative Youth Plan to enable the creative potential of children and young people.
Located in the heart of Dublin, Aerial Cirque will provide aerial silks classes to the youth members of the deaf community. Led by experienced instructors and supported by ISL Interpreters, each session will offer a supportive environment where every child can thrive. Participants will develop strength, flexibility, and confidence while exploring the artistry of aerial dance.
Sensory Flights is rooted in the belief that every child deserves the chance to discover their potential and express themselves freely. Our program aims to introduce participants to the joy of aerial arts while empowering them to embrace their unique abilities and talents.
These classes are free of charge to the participants. Participants may bring their siblings or a friend with them. Parents/guardians may attend to assist their child if needed. Classes begin on Saturday, May 18 and will run for 5 weeks until June 15. For more information, visit cruinniu.creativeireland.gov.ie
