KCAT model in wearable art

Bringing art to life with wearable art from the Roots course shown to you at this special fundraising event.

KCAT’s Art Students, under the guidance of sculptor Saturio Alonso have created fashion from surprising materials. They have used recycled materials, which, instead of making their way to landfill, have been transformed into wearable Art pieces.

These gorgeous works show ingenuity and imagination; combined with an awareness of the environmental damage caused by materials, which are usually discarded and wasted.

The work will be presented in a Wearable Art Fashion Show on Saturday May 20th, 8pm at KCAT Arts Centre, Mill Lane, Callan in Co. Kilkenny.

The Wearable Art Project has been supported by the Kilkenny Environmental Office, Kilkenny County Council.
Tickets €15 / €10
