Linda McGee, Triona Maloney and Frances Tynan from Shadowbox performing in Somethings

Shadowbox first formed an ensemble of performers with Intellectual disability 20 years ago

The current all-female company plan to further develop Somethings, a piece originally devised in 2017, in which they reflect on the Tuam Mother and Baby Home as well as themselves as women and their right to have children. The piece will create a metaphorical world in which they contemplate the missing child – buried, lost, imagined and simply the child that never was.

Come with us on a journey of the imagination entering a world where merging sounds, movements and images tell a story of frustration, loss and hope for the future.

Begging us to look again, look with different eyes.
