Festival: Bealtaine at Home

23 Apr - 31 May 2020 (Past)

Online

To honour the creative spirit of Bealtaine this May, they have created a selection of events which have been especially adapted for you to access from your home.

With Bealtaine’s adpated programme to be announced in the coming weeks, for now they invite you to get involved through their book clubs, photography club and regular ezine.

Bealtaine Book Clubs – This year the Bealtaine Book Club author is Michael Harding and his book Staring at Lakes is the Bealtaine Book. They’re looking for an existing book club to read and then come together publicly (online) to chat about the book, ahead of a public interview with Michael on May 28th, (with Evelyn O Rourke chairing). Get in touch here if you would like to be part of this!

The Bealtaine Book club is adding another strand, a thematic fortnightly book club moderated by author, Mia Gallagher. Share what you’re reading at home and discuss anything book related with a new online community. Every two weeks, Mia will share a recommended reading list including a book by a writer who she will interview live. We hope this will be a great opportunity to discover great books and connect with a new community, all from the comfort of your home.

Bealtaine Photography Club – have you ever wanted to learn a little about photography and meet some like minded people and maybe even try some simple techniques? Their virtual photography club will be running this May led by photographer Brian Cooney. Register your interest here.

Bealtaine regular ezine – featuring a curated list of creative activities to do at home, listings of online events and tips for creative activity leaders, Beatiane are looking for inspiring, thoughtful, engaging and entertaining content to share across both events and professional resources and invite you to send them information which you think might be of particular interest to their audience. Submit your listing here.

If you are a regular Bealtaine organiser have you thought about running any online events? If you are, there are plenty of tips and supports available online here.
